Tips for Public BBQ Grills & Where to Find Them

Traveling and planning to grill out in a public park? Hosting a large party and need the space? Public BBQ grills are a great option! But how can you find one? Check your state parks websites, browse your city Parks & Recreation pages, or simply turn on your location and Google “where to find public BBQ grills.” It’s THAT easy!

Tips for using public BBQ grills:

  • Clean it! You aren’t trying to make it sparkle – just try to get excess food & charcoal off of the grates. A pumice stone with handle, or simple grill brush will do the job nicely. After you’ve brushed the grates, sweep out any debris from underneath.
  • Use foil! Not only will you protect your food, it’ll be an easy cleanup! Cover the grates with foil and poke holes with a fork all over.
  • Pay it forward! Clean the grill for the next person, and maybe your job the next time won’t be as hard.
  • Reserve it! Depending on your state, city, or specific park, you may need to call ahead to reserve a grill or covered area. Be sure to look up all of the park rules and regulations on their websites before heading out.
