When you refer your friends and family to certain services you use, you’ll often be rewarded with free gift cards! It’s always a good idea to ask if services you use offer a rewards or referral program. Here are some examples:
- T-Mobile: Refer up to 10 people per year, and you’ll get a $50 Mastercard gift card for every friend who joins T-Mobile!
- Ancestry.com: Score a $10 Amazon gift card when your friend orders AncestryDNA after you share it!
- TurboTax: Get a $25 gift card for every friend you refer that completes their taxes with TurboTax! You can score up to $250, and they also get 20% off!
- Xfinity: Earn up to $175 in Visa gift cards when you refer friends!
- Sam’s Club: It’s not a service, but you’ll get a $10 gift card for every friend that signs up!
Sharky’s Tip: Go to your provider’s AND store membership websites or contact customer service to see if they have a referral program for gift cards. You may be pleasantly surprised!
Shop at Target
Target frequently offers Target store gift cards when you purchase a specific dollar amount of certain items. That’s a super easy way to save money AND score Target gift cards! Even better, combine digital couponing apps with sales and the Target Circle app to minimize your out of pocket spending while still grabbing those gift cards!
Trade-in Electronics
Did you know that you can score gift cards when you trade-in old electronics!? Many stores offer gift cards to their store, in exchange for your old iPads, Apple Watches, smartphones, video games, computers, Kindles, Alexa devices, and much more! Here are just a few:
Shop Online
When you use online cash back programs like TopCashback ($35 gift card per referral!) and Honey ($5 per referral), you’ll have the option to cash in your earnings in the form of gift cards! Even better, TopCashback gives you and additional 3% bonus when you payout via Amazon gift card!
Restaurants & Retailers
Many restaurants and retailers will offer bonus gift cards when you make a purchase of another gift card. These are especially popular during the holiday season. Cash Out Earnings
This is probably the easiest way to get gift cards, AND it saves you a ton of money without taking a ton of time! When you use money saving and rebate apps like Ibotta, Fetch Rewards, and Shopkick, you’ll be able to score gift cards! Some offer bank or PayPal deposits in addition to retail gift cards.
