Amazon News: Big News For Amazon Prime & Whole Foods Shoppers

If you aren’t an Amazon Prime member yet, you may want to consider joining now!  Amazon announced some big news in this press release for Whole Foods shoppers and Amazon Prime members. Beginning Monday, August 28th, they will begin to integrate Amazon Prime into the Whole Foods point-of-sale system, and when this is complete, Prime members will receive special savings and in-store benefits.

With this big change, Whole Foods will begin lowering prices on their best-selling items throughout the store.  Once the integration is complete, Amazon Prime will become Whole Foods’ customer rewards program. That means Prime members will get special discounts and extra perks. We’ll also see Whole Food’s private label products popping up more on Amazon, including 365 Everyday Value, Whole Paws, Whole Catch, and more.  You’ll see these available through Amazon.com, AmazonFresh, Prime Pantry and Prime Now.

There will also eventually be Amazon Lockers at select Whole Foods stores.  This will allow Prime members to have their packages shipped to their Whole Foods store, where they can pick them up, or send back returns. We’ll see a lot more from this incredible collaboration, which is very exciting for Whole Foods and Amazon customers!
