Places to Find More Coupons

The most obvious ways to collect coupons are to print them, and grab them from your Sunday newspaper each week.  But, there are a lot of other ways to get
coupons! Here are 10 other ways to score yourself more coupons:

    • Email CompaniesManufacturers are pretty willing to send out coupons to their consumers, to keep you buying their products.  Email them and simply ask them if they have coupons they mail via snail mail.
    • Magazines – Some magazines like Ebony, Better Homes & Gardens, Sunset, and Ladies Home Journal, have manufacturer coupons inside.  If you can get a free subscription, take it!
    • Tearpads – As you wander the aisles of the grocery store, keep your eyes out for tearpads.  These are all over the store in displays, on the aisles and next to products.  These coupons generally have a longer life-span, too.
    • Ask neighbors – Do your neighbors get the Sunday newspaper every week?  If so, ask them if you can have their coupons.  Make it a habit to drop by  Sunday afternoon, and bring them some baked goods, do a simple chore or offer to mow their lawn!
    • Peelies – These coupons are stuck to products.  These should NOT be taken off products and used later, though. Manufacturers put those coupons on the products with the intent to persuade you to purchase that product at that store, at that time.
    • Promotional Displays – Several times a year, you’ll find displays in the grocery store.  Everything from Cinco de Mayo to Super Bowl Sunday will have a display.  Most of these displays will have new products on them, with coupons!
    • Newsletters – Signing up for newsletters and e-clubs from your favorite brands is a great way to get more coupons.  They will offer you special promotions, freebies and coupons.
    • Hang Tags – These coupons are literally hanging from a product.  You’ll see these on condiment bottles, laundry and cleaning products and wine, usually.
    • Facebook – Facebook is a great way to get more coupons.  “Like” your favorite restaurants, brands and companies, and watch for coupons to be released in their newsfeeds.
    • Join Forces – If you have couponing friends, join forces!  You’ll double your coupon availability by doing this.  When a deal calls for several coupons, go in “halves” with your coupon buddy.  You’ll pay less and still be able to stock up.
    • The Phone Book – yes, they still exist!!  There is an entire section in the back of phone books, devoted to coupons.  These will be for local businesses, retailers and restaurants, and you usually won’t see these anywhere else.

Where is your favorite place to find more coupons?
