SHARK BITES – Kmart No Money Down Layaway – The Basics
You can get help for your holiday shopping at Kmart by utilizing their layaway program. In fact, you don’t even have to put any money down.* This will allow you to start getting that Christmas list of yours checked off before hot commodity toys for 2015 are gone!
Kmart’s NO MONEY DOWN LAYAWAY will help you tackle that Christmas list for sure! It’s not just about toys for the kids… Am I right??!! It’s also about decorations, party supplies, and cookware, which seem to be a big “must have” on any shopping list— and especially for the holidays.
How Kmart’s NO MONEY DOWN layaway works:
Now through November 29, 2015, you can go in store and pay NO MONEY DOWN and go online to Kmart.com/Layaway and place your order and pay “ONE PENNY”.*
There are (4) easy steps to process your in store or online layaway.
- (1) FIND WHAT YOU WANT:
In Store: If in store, head to the layaway counter.
Online: Add your items to cart and go to check out.
- (2) MAKE YOUR DOWN PAYMENT:
This will include a service fee that is due when you initiate your contract. - (3) MAKE PAYMENTS EVERY TWO WEEKS:
In Store at any register: CASH, CHECK, or DEBIT/CREDIT CARD
Online: CASH, CHECK, DEBIT/CREDIT CARD, or KMART GIFT CARDS - (4) PICK UP YOUR LAYAWAY ITEMS:
Go to your store or SCHEDULE a pick-up ONLINE, once your LAST PAYMENT is made.
When online shopping, make sure you check the box “PAY WITH LAYAWAY”. At that time, you will see your payment schedule. Decide if you want to pick up your item(s) or have it shipped.
Note: You can sign up for your LAYAWAY PAYMENT REMINDERS:
Text LAYAWAY to 56278. You will be sent a link to easily complete the sign-up process.
LAYAWAY OPTIONS: 8 Weeks versus 12 Weeks
8 Week Layaway: (In Store and Online)
Option: 8 weeks
Pay: Every two weeks
Down Payment: $10.00 down (Waived)
Service Fee: $5.00
Cancellation Fee: $10.00
12 Week Layaway: (In Store and Online w/ a Total Purchase of $300 or More)
Option: 12 weeks
Pay: Every two weeks
Down Payment: $10.00 down (Waived)
Service Fee: $10.00
Cancellation Fee: $20.00
You cannot use Shop Your Way Reward Points (SYWR) to make payments. Online items available for layaway will state “AVAILABLE for LAYAWAY” on the individual product page. Customers have a 7-day grace period after your payment date is due before it is cancelled and returned to stock. Remember a NONREFUNDABLE cancellation fee will apply.
The Gift of Giving
Now, that you have your list together for shopping, Kmart offers a variety of items that are sure to fit anyone’s budget and tastes. Once you have placed your order online, you have the option of reviewing all the terms in the agreement for payments. If the terms fit your budget for the next 8 to 12 weeks, then continue on to process. Kmart will send out friendly email reminders. In addition, once your final payment is made, Kmart will notify you by email with a tracking number. Note: Gift options are not available for layaway items
