SHARK BITES – House Party/Chatterbox: Products and Brands to Chat About!
(Note: A person can apply for both House Party and Chatterbox. However, the chances are unlikely to be picked for both at the same time.)
House Party
What is House Party? It is a company that allows for an easy way for you to have a party in your own home, while receiving exclusive access to awesome products for you and your friends.
House Party provides the items and you provide food, friends and feedback to their site. When you are chosen to host a party, you receive sponsored brands that you happen to love. In addition, when you become a host, you and your guests get to try their products and receive a Party Pack. There is no cost to you— you don’t pay anything or sell anything. It’s a hassle-free, no-pressure party that you host. All you will have to do is tell House Party what you and your guest’s thoughts are about the exclusive product(s) they’ve provided. The opportunities to host cover the United States, and sometimes the world. All you have to do is enjoy yourself and be honest about the product(s) through the interactive website at HouseParty.com and on your personal party page. Your personal party page is where you invite guests, post pictures, videos and have conversations. There are activities to participate in even before the actual party. Questionnaire
You will be asked a series of question each time you apply to host a House Party. It is to help to target the right people to the right brand or product. House Party asks for basic information about yourself. Their new process has you answer all their basic demographic questions at once. So, the next time you apply to a party, you won’t have to answer them again.
House Party will send an email confirmation as a courtesy to inform you that they received your registration and a separate email for any “host application”. (Note: Receiving an email does not verify if you have been selected. A separate email is sent to those who are chosen for any party. You will have 30 minutes to respond after accepting the position to host.) If you are not chosen to host a party— you will receive an email as well. You can also check your House Party account for details.
Host Selection
- Complete the online application— answer a series of questions about your knowledge of the sponsor brand and what you are willing to do if selected.
- A pool of hosts who fit the criteria are chosen by House Party and the sponsor’s host criteria. Note: House Party is unable to disclose the criteria for a specific party. Do all the activities to “stand out from the crowd”. (Note: Activities are optional. However, completed activities show House party which applicants are serious in wanting to “stand out from the crowd.” Be
- Party selections and party dates can change at any given time.
- Host selections can span over several days.
Party Packs
Party packs are limited. House Party wants all those applying to host a party to carefully consider the “Official Party Day” when completing your application. Be responsible and follow through with the criteria. Party Packs are normally scheduled to arrive approximately 5 to 7 days before the “Official Party Day”. (Note: Make sure your address is up to date.) Party packs usually consist of items that will accommodate 10 to 15 people depending on the product/brand being supplied.
The Party Place!
The actual party does not necessarily have to be at your home. It can also be held outside. The key is to take pictures and videos to share with the House party community. If an emergency arises, you can reschedule your party date and time. You can do so by going to your “My Home” and click on “Edit my party’s details” located on the right hand side. Inform your guests noting the date change. When you send invitations, they will reflect your new party date.
Guests Invites and Registering
Be aware that when you email your guests, they will receive an email from invites@houseparty.com, and not your personal email address. Guest should register on the House party site, so they can join in on the conversation, and post photos and videos to your party page. They will also have a chance to participate in sweepstakes and contests.
Chatterbox
What is Chatterbox? Chatterbox is a free program that House Party offers that gives you exclusive opportunities to get a “Chat Pack” that is filled with products and delivered to your home.
Chatterbox can be found under the tab “Chatterbox” on the House Party site. You can also go here to access Chatterbox. You simply will be obligated to give honest feedback about the product, inform your friends and family about the product, and then share offers and goodies with them.
Time is of the Essence
Chatterbox programs have a limited number of applications that will be accepted for each program. If the limit has been reached, the selection process will then begin and no further applications will be accepted. Once you are chosen, your “chatterbox” will arrive shortly afterwards. (Note: Make sure your address is up to date.) You can begin your chatting, sampling, and sharing.
