How Do You Manage Your Time When Entering Daily Contests and Sweepstakes?

Prize GiftSHARK BITES – How Do You Manage Your Time When Entering Daily Contests and Sweepstakes?

Time management is essential in our everyday lives. We enter sweepstakes in the hopes of winning that “BIG PRIZE.” Unfortunately, for many of us, the wins come far and few. Nevertheless… we don’t give up hope. And, we continue in our daily quest of hitting it big!

In the midst of all the preparations of entering contests or sweeps, we are left with more tasks than we may have bargained for. Something we think that only needed an email address and/or our full name, ends up being just the beginning of a long list of duties, such as, answering a question or leaving a comment, submitting a specific photo or selfie, sharing your entry on social media pages, to liking and following a numerous amount of “hosts” of the contest or sweep you are trying to win. It can get daunting at times. In addition, it can take away from what precious time you do have for you, your spouse and child(ren), social gatherings, family and friends. So, how do you handle your time?

Clearly one time sweeps, versus daily sweeps, are ideal. However, if you’re like me, I’m entering into some type of contest every day. After all, I do keep a daily updated list on our Instant Win Games & Sweepstakes page. 😉 With that being said, I still have things to do in my daily life— whether be it personal or business.

Many of my followers are die-hard sweepers and Twitter party contestants. Some of the Twitter parties can last an hour to a few hours. Do you find it worth your time putting in that type of time, in the hopes of winning a prize? Are you simply playing to be playing— win or lose? Many Twitter parties happen before noon, midday, or at night. How do you juggle your job, family, or personal time when participating in this type of contest?

Inevitably, time gets away from us. We look at the clock and wonder where the time all went, as the laundry is still piled high, the housework is barely touched, and dinner is nowhere ready to be served. Is this the life of a sweeper being steadfast in the journey to win? Once we get that “BIG WIN”… we can’t help but try for another, and another, and so on… Who or what gets sacrificed in the process? At the end of the day, having the formula to orchestrating an easy flow of life and contests/sweeps, is solely up to you. It all boils down to how much you want to enter on a daily basis, and what you are willing to sacrifice to play.

If you have some type of system, like starting your entries before your child(ren) awakens or naps, do you find that to be easier as a “set” daily system? Or, does entering ‘whenever you can’ throughout the day work better for you?

Carefully choose the contests and sweepstakes that you want to enter, because stress can become a factor in something that we actually enjoy doing like contests and sweeps. Heaven forbid there ever be a computer glitch while in “contest mode”. That’s enough to make one become aggravated, to say the very least. Although the majority of the time doing daily entries is a whole bunch of fun— especially when a “CONGRATULATIONS” pops up on the screen, it can become a burden, when you’ve played for weeks and weeks at a time and to no avail, no ‘hit”. Simply… a dry spell had been hit! Then— before you know it— that elusive “BIG WIN” happens all over again, and your winning streak begins. It really is a hit or miss type of situation when entering contests and sweeps. It is best to go into it with the mindset that “if I/you win… I/you win, and if I/you lose… I/you lose”. Otherwise, I/you’d drive yourself crazy!

Entering every sweepstakes you can find just may not be feasible. You may start winning a lot. A whole lot. But, are you winning what you want, or winning things that you don’t want or even need? Time will simply get away from you. Look at what type of prize is being offered and consider if it is a good fit or not. Definitely read all rules and know how often you have to participate in entering your submissions (ie: one time, daily, several specific entry periods etc.). The last thing you would want to happen to you is being disqualified for your entries, because you didn’t follow the rules. They have them for a reason. So, never assume. 😉

Perhaps, you’re flexible and decide you want to invest a short amount of time on your list of daily contests and sweeps. Regardless, if you make it all the way through or not— be okay with where you end. Simply pick up where you left off, when you start your routine again.

Perhaps you are a sweeper who likes to enter your dailies at night, as a way to relieve stress and help you wind down from a long workday. Everyone has a certain regimen they like to follow. So, when you find what works best for you and your time— stick to it!

Try not to waste your time, as every moment spent on your dailies, is a potential winning entry. Also, the sooner you are done, the sooner you have time to do other things.

Sharky wants your feedback.

Please post a comment or two on how you handle your daily entries. What advice can you offer fellow Sharky’s that get discouraged, due to lack of wins? What advice can you give to help them get through rough patches, so that they can continue on day after day?

Remember… complaining doesn’t help you win. You can’t win unless you play! #BeInItToWinIt!

Contests and sweeps are supposed to be fun, and I hope it is more fun than not for all of you! Good luck!!
