Boy! Does that ever sound great?!! Finding a way to save money is more fun than you might think. In the beginning, plan together, to put in some extra hard work. Doing so, will pay off, by helping to make your game plan a whole lot easier along the way!
Friends and More Friends!:
Going solo has its own rewards, like self-accomplishment, and feeling like you’re the coupon queen or king of the world! However, having a coupon shopping buddy makes for more fun! Every “coupon hero” should have a sidekick!
When shopping with a friend or two… or even a group of coupon savvy shoppers…
Make sure everyone participating has their assigned plan of attack. For instance, you
could be covering the produce, dairy, and frozen items. Meanwhile, your buddy can
cover the cereals, snacks, and beverage items. Whatever you plan on buying, just make
sure your coupons match the intended item and amount.
Coupon Hiccups!:
Sometimes we commit coupon fraud without knowing it. So, make sure you and your
buddy adhere to the manufacturer’s rules printed on the coupon(s), and never photocopy
coupons. Also, be mindful of the expiration date. It can easily be an oversight. However,
the least mistakes made at the register, makes for smooth transactions. Hefty fines come
with coupon scamming, to include monetary and/or prison.
Binder Superpowers!:
Yes, you read that correctly. Have a binder divided into food/non-food categories, so that
your shopping experience can be easy as 1, 2, 3. Have your coupons neatly tucked into a
binder. They’ll be just waiting to bring your final total down with a forceful blow to the
register!
Fun and Order!:
Once you and your buddy have gathered your items and are ready to check out, place
your items in the order to your coupons/transactions. Make sure to keep an eye out on the
items the cashier swipes, to make sure they ring up correctly. If there are any issues that
arise, you can handle it right then and there. Sometimes, a price override is necessary. If
you find issues after the items have been rung up and paid for, simply take your receipt to
the customer service counter, to rectify any issues. Stores want to help their customers, and keep them as returning customers.
Score!:
Coupon shopping should be strategically fun. Hopefully, your shopping experience will
be a great one. Especially since, you and your buddy have saved a ton of money! Give
each other a good “high-five” and a loud “whoo hoo”!!!! Acknowledge that some great
deals were scored!
Remember to always take a “bite” out of your wallet when couponing, and leave the store
as a ‘Coupon Sharky’ winner!
