Is it too early to start thinking about the Holidays? It’s still August, but if you think about it, the Holiday season isn’t too far away. Holiday gift shopping can take a toll on your bank account, which is why I wanted to post about this now…before you start the shopping. My number one tip for Holiday gift shopping is to simply shop online. During the Holidays, many online retailers offer heavy discounts to its customers. Many end up having a “price war”, where one online retailer beats the price of another, just to have the best deal. This means big savings for you.
The Savings Start Early
Several online retailers start offering hot deals as early as November 1st. But the really heavy discounts start appearing closer to Thanksgiving. We all know that Black Friday is one of the busiest days for retailers. Not only busy, but sometimes dangerous too, with the massive crowds. Well, several major online retailers, such as Amazon.com, host special Black Friday events on Black Friday, and the entire weekend. You’ll want to watch their “Lighting Deals” section during Thanksgiving weekend for some fantastic deals. But you’ll need to be quick… discounted items are often available for a few hours at the most before they’re sold out.
Huge Discounts Keep on Coming
The sales do not end after Thanksgiving weekend is over. The sales just keep on coming! The Monday after Thanksgiving is called “Cyber Monday”. Cyber Monday is day in which most online retailers offer huge discounts on items…. up to 70%, depending on the retailer.
